Our Adoption Process

If you're looking to welome a hamster to your family, you've come to the right place!

Adoption Criteria 

Every single adopter must meet the below criteria to be able to adopt a hamster from our rescue. Our team is more than happy to share links to their favourite products and you can also find more information in our infographics by clicking here.

  • 100 x 50 x 50cm cage minimum (barless preferred ) 

  • 8+ inches of safe bedding 

  • species suitable wheel (28cm for syrians, 26cm for dwarfs and 21cm for robos)

  • large sandbath with safe sand (aim for A4+)

  • dig box with at least 3 safe substrates (e.g. coco coir/ beech chips/ cork granules)

  • variety of sprays (available on our store)

  • a tunnel (preferably 2+ such as a reptile cork log)

  • a reptile branch (e.g. java branch, bamboo root or grapevine)

  • a water bottle or bowl 

  • a multichamber 

  • 3+ hides

  • species specific food (we recommend bunny nature - please note dwarfs need an additional 40g of protein added) 

  • a carrier to transport the hamster 

  • a play pen/ safe space to free roam
